HOMEOPATHY HATER’s LOVER EXPOSED

RANDI ALWAYS KNEW “ALVAREZ” WASN’T WHO HE SAID HE WAS

 Rules of Investigation:

1. You see it once you’ll see it again.

2. If you can’t find the answer you already got it.

3. All skeptics are liars.

FT. LAUDERDALE: The man who 12 years ago offered me $1,000,000 (one million dollars) to prove homeopathy (to him) ended up in court this week bailing out his longtime domestic partner on charges of life fraud, a 23 year long identity theft.

James “the Amazing” Randi is a career conjurer and debunker of extraordinary claims, a hero to a large following of atheists, local skeptics and amateur debunkers. His reputation as a ‘seeker of truth” turned hypocritical this week when in court he openly admitted that prior to the theft he knew the true identity of his homosexual lover, artist Deyvi Orangel Pena Arteaga.

NEW YORK: “He’s had my identity for 20  years,” the real Jose Alvarez said Friday, when reached by telephone in New York from Florida by the Sun  Sentinel. “Why is he stealing my identity? Is he illegal?”

Pena is a Venezuelan, better known as “Jose Alavarez” and before that known to Australian audiences as a phony psychic channeler going by the name of “Carlos.”

The Ft. Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel reports,

“Pena was arrested Sept. 8 at Randi’s Plantation home under the name “John Doe” and charged with passport fraud and identity theft. A Sun Sentinel investigation revealed Pena’s true identity earlier this week. The newspaper obtained the immigration visa he used in March 1984 to come to the United States from his native Venezuela to attend the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale.”

The next question here is to what degree did Randi assist Pena in the theft of a New York man’s identity? The hoax was discovered when the real Jose Luis Alvarez, whose identity was stolen by Pena 23 years ago, applied for a passport. The story goes that Federal agents burst into his New York apartment to arrest him, but the real Alvarez was able to quickly corroborate his identity.

The next step was to cuff Pena and throw him in the Broward county slammer.

Below John Bennets blog are some very bitter people who mistakenly  believe a personality is sacred and cannot be criticised eg a psychopathic mass murderer can only  be criticiesd for the things he says. His character must not be criticised. Misguided passions abound there. Quite an insight

Charles Saje, who served as Randi's manager for a time after the magician moved to Florida, also identified the photograph of "Carlos" as Pena.

"I knew him as David, and I think it was David Pena," Saje said. "By the time David became "Carlos," I was not with Randi anymore."

Last week, Randi called Saje out of the blue and asked him to speak to Alvarez's attorneys.

"He did not try to tell me what to say," Saje said, adding that Randi told him, "Tell them what you know, let it come out. This thing is a big enough mess. We don't need other people in trouble.'"

Among Randi's New Jersey-New York circle of friends in the mid-'80s was Kenneth Hari, an artist and portraitist. He, too, identified the photograph of "Carlos" as the man he knew as David Pena. He remembers Pena telling him he needed to find a new identity.

"He did not have legal identification," Hari recalled.

Alvarez, or "John Doe" as he is known in federal court papers, is charged with making a false statement to renew his passport in 2008, which is punishable by up to 10 years in prison. He also is charged with aggravated identity theft, which automatically tacks two years onto any other prison term.

If Alvarez strikes a plea agreement, prosecutors likely wouldn't seek a lengthy sentence. If Alvarez is in this country illegally, he could face deportation.
