Knowing for ourselves - personal knowledge that goes beyond a mere belief in the words of others -
-is a sacred principle of the Age of Aquarius. We go beyond faith to find truth.

Rules and institutions will crumble under the weight of this scrutiny. Laws, politics, and even religions will be tested, altered, or devastated by the profound examination that already has begun. We will discard the
sacred texts of yesterday and write them anew with new knowledge and new vision. This does not mean an
end to religion; it means taboos and dogmas will be cast aside. We will find that the Second Coming of Christ comes from within us, not necessarily in the actual coming of the one Son of God. It is the awakening of Christ
in yourself and in each of us. The Ten Commandments are excellent rules of goodness, but we must take
them into our hearts, make them a part of us. When you have internal peace, you won't violate any of the Commandments. Under Aquarius we will come to understand our own internal book. We will understand the
Bible and the Koran and all the holy writings because we will come to touch our own interior well of knowledge. We will know what is right without having to look to an outside list of rules to tell us how to behave.
The doctrines and dogmas of the past will be destroyed, but our belief in God will not. Doctrines and dogmas
will be replaced by true faith in ourselves and in our knowledge. We will not say we have faith because
someone tells us it is so. We will have faith because we know for ourselves what is real and what is true
and what is not

Beyond The Horizon: Visions of a New Millennium
In the Age of Aquarius, what is important is not to have, but to be. We have concentrated too much on
external things, forgetting that we are souls. We have been totally unconscious to what is of the inner life.
But the proliferation of material greed, political power, and racial discrimination now crumbles before the
spiritual rebirth, which forces us to look inward for the principles that force us to uphold the renewed ideals
of love, honor, and truth. The children who are born in the time of Aquarius no longer want to believe, they
want to know.

“The notion of the anticipated "Age of Aquarius" made popular in a rock musical of the sixties contributed to
the diffusion of this term. Such a major change in the cosmos - a spiritual knocking of the earth off its pivot -
was a sign that something big was about to happen to its inhabitants. And those who had turned to spiritual contemplation via networking, writing periodicals, and establishing clubs were ready for it. . . . one New Age author calls it a metaphor for being in the world in a manner that opens us to the presence of God - the
presence of love and possibility - in the midst of our ordinariness. It is a response to the idea that our planet
is sacred and the desire "to create a world in which humanity, nature and the domain of spirit work together
in ways that are mutually empowering and cocreative." . . .
The underlying faith is a lack of faith in the orthodoxies of rationalism, high technology, routine living,
spiritual law-and-order.
Somehow, the New Agers believe, there must be some
secret and mysterious
shortcut or alternative path to happiness and health.

Shortcut is LAY GNOSIS)
Anthony Aveni, Behind the Crystal Ball
This is the changing of times, the eve of a new millennium, the verge of a new era for humankind. It is a new beginning, a time of transformation, and of a sweeping, collective change among all people.
It is the birth of an age of peace, a New Age, which will lead us to look inside ourselves, then force us to go beyond what we have known. As with any birth, it will be a time of challenge, a time of pain, a time of
realization, and a time of ecstasy.

But not everyone will be ready for the change. Some will resist. If all people were at the same level and were willing to progress, there would be no resistance and the change would be painless. But people fear change, people fear letting go, whether it is to death or to love. Everyone clings to what they know because they
think that letting go, surrendering, means dying, means disappearing. But the change is coming whether we want it or not, and the change will wipe the slate clean. There will be a disappearing - of what we think, what we know, and what we think we know.

Beyond The Horizon: Visions of a New Millennium
One cannot predict the next mythology any more than one can predict tonight's dream; for a mythology is not
an ideology. It is not something projected from the brain,
but something experienced from the heart, from
recognition's
of identities behind or within the appearance of nature, perceiving with love a "thou" where
there would have been
otherwise only an "it."
As stated already centuries ago in the Indian Kena Upanishad:
"That which in the lightning flashes forth, makes one blink, and say 'Ah!' - that 'Ah!' refers to divinity.

The Inner Reaches of Outer Space
This Golden Age is destined to synthesize all religious regimes and free the minds of ignorance and delusion forever. Once enlightened, each human being will begin his or her individual journey within, and strive to become the new race of super conscious humans awakening seekers of Truth and the eternal Spirit, healing peoples of many tongues and nations in the process. In this new millennium there will be no more falsehoods or derision, but spiritual living and third-eye vision. The Human Family is truly entering the Age of mystic revelations and the mind's true liberation which is broadly known as spiritualism or New Millennium Religion.
